About Justrite
Justrite is a global leader in the spill containment industry, providing patented custom spill response and containment products to comply with environmental regulations. Based in Anderson, SC, and operating out of a 50,000 sq ft facility, Justrite serves military, government and industrial customers worldwide. Their berms are constructed to withstand the harshest of environmental conditions, including the sub-freezing temperatures of Antarctica, where military and scientists use the berms to protect the area’s fragile ecosystem. Justrite’s berms have also been used to support U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Challenge
Justrite faced mounting challenges as it expanded to serve over 200 military installations. Manual processes made it increasingly difficult to manage complex custom orders, coordinate production schedules, track inventory and meet strict regulatory reporting requirements. The lack of real-time data hindered operational efficiency and made it challenging to provide customers with accurate order status updates.
The Solution
Seeking a robust manufacturing ERP solution, Justrite evaluated options capable of supporting custom manufacturing, shop floor data collection and compliance needs. Global Shop Solutions stood out for its comprehensive ERP platform, offering real-time shop floor visibility, integrated inventory management and advanced scheduling features. According to Russ Guffee, Vice President and General Manager at Justrite, "We make a lot of custom products. Global Shop Solutions handles all these challenges with ease." The company deployed five shop floor data stations, empowering teams to capture production data and monitor work orders instantly. This transformation enabled the business to automate purchasing and improve communication between departments. Guffee notes, "Global Shop Solutions gives me complete visibility of everything that’s going on. From work orders to accounting to inventory, I can instantly get that information."
The Results
With Global Shop Solutions ERP, Justrite achieved measurable process improvement across its operations. Real-time data access enabled accurate job tracking, better decision-making and improved customer service. The company reduced manual labor costs, accelerated order fulfillment and enhanced on-time delivery performance. Guffee highlights, "With Global Shop Solutions, we can find out instantly where a particular order is on the shop floor. This lets us give the customer a pretty accurate estimate of when the order will be done and shipped." Key metrics include a 50,000 sq ft facility, service to 200+ military installations, five shop floor data stations and over 20 years of industry experience - demonstrating Justrite’s ability to scale and maintain high standards in custom manufacturing, inventory management and regulatory compliance.
